My personal approach comes from a place of Cancer Ascendant empathy, Leo Sun confidence and creativity, and Sagittarius Moon vision. As such, my work will continue to grow and evolve, and my perspective is always open to new inspiration and change with further research and study.
I have been studying astrology obsessively as my passion since 1996, and have been working as a professional astrologer since 2013. My background also entails training in counseling skills that I find to be of immense value in my approach to astrological consultation. My perspective is Modern Western astrology, and I use Traditional rulerships and the Koch house system. I respect that other astrologers use different systems and perspectives, and believe that there is always room at the table for all astrological approaches as long as they’ve been studied in depth, and as long as the discourse is polite.
I have reached my decisions as to these areas of calculation as well as my own use of orb as the result of intense study, years of practice, and deep observation of timing. I use true nodal and Lilith calculation, and specialize in the synthesis of Lilith within the context of the chart including calculated point Black Moon Lilith (Lunar Apogee), hypothetical shadow body Dark Moon Lilith, and asteroid Lilith. My practice has evolved significantly over the years. I’ve danced with Modern rulerships enough to now dismiss their validity in my opinion.
I didn’t used to consider asteroids, now I recognize that they can have profound influence when aspected by a planet, but only within an exceedingly tight orb. I used to be dismissive regarding the importance of Black Moon Lilith until I began studying Lilith in the chart in depth and in deeper context, and spent time closely observing and examining in transit and realized the imperative of using TRUE Lilith calculation in my work. That particular key opened the door to a continually evolving area of study for me that continues to fascinate and demand my attention. It’s important to me to recognize that though Traditional foundations are crucial to understanding astrology, we are working within a modern life context and that requires evolution in practice and application.
