2025: Rapid Fire Change and Unavoidable Awakenings
This is your guide to the significant astrological dates for the entire year of 2025…including Lunations, Stations, and Ingresses, Oh My!!!!!!
Dates of planetary influences that will be points of pivot or major upheaval are in BOLD for emphasis. The first half of the year is one major shift after another, and it may leave us spinning as we begin to adjust to the new signs and influence of the Nodal Axis on the Virgo/Pisces axis, which begins on January 11. The message here is to prioritize the spiritual and not get caught up in the trappings of the mundane, and there are INTENSE wake up calls here with both Saturn, planet of discipline and limitation and Neptune, planet of dreams and intuition crossing the North Node in Pisces, with Neptune in February followed by Saturn in April. The North Node, Saturn, and Neptune are all coalescing at the end of the Zodiac, a herald of the end of an era that comes with profound lessons of grace and bittersweet acceptance. Saturn and Neptune will each ingress to Aries, the raw power sign of initiative and bold determination, a path of new beginnings for both planets. Aries is ruled by Mars, and this can also be a time of conflict and explosive revelations. In July, Uranus will enter Gemini, provoking the next set of big changes that we will experience for the second half of 2025. The first half of 2025 is one change after another, but it may feel slow and grinding at first thanks to beginning with Mars Retrograde followed by a Venus Retrograde from March into April. Jupiter enters Cancer in June, where it is in its sign of exaltation, and we harness emotional intelligence and wisdom to carry us through the otherwise potentially tumultuous changes that this year will encounter. The major pivot point comes in July, when Uranus enters Gemini where it will be conjunct dwarf planet Sedna and trine Pluto in Aquarius, intensifying instability and shifting the nature of social connections and the direction of communication in. This is a ground shaking, revelatory celestial movement that begins to define the next 7 years and what Uranus will bring, so pay attention. Nothing will be the same as what we started with this year…each quarter and each month can be analyzed in terms of the persistent themes of initiative and revolution. Once the changes begin to unfold, we don’t get a break for quite a while, and rapid paced change in the name of progress is inevitable. Keep in mind that moving forward often means endings are in store, and where we’ve been clinging to outgrown or stagnant ideas and attachments will be the places to be most shockingly disturbed by the transits that we will encounter this year.

January begins with volatile aspects then uncertain shifts and ends with a powerhouse of a New Moon that happens just as Uranus, planet of rebellion and awakening, hits Station Direct in Taurus. Taurus Moon will be SQUARE Uranus AT exactitude of Station Direct.

There are big collective movements under Neptune on the North Node, and the pressure will finally release once Mars, planet of action and drive, hits Station Direct in Cancer. Whatever has been held back and inhibited can begin to slowly crawl out of the rubble at this point, and the Pisces New Moon is the final Lunation before we wade tentatively into Eclipse time once again.

This month is a MASSIVE shock to the system, with a Venus Retrograde at 10 Aries, Mercury Station Retrograde at 9 Aries, Venus Cazimi of Retrograde in Aries, followed by a NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE at 9 Aries. The entire first decan of Aries is LIT UP here, especially as Neptune, the transpersonal outer planet influence of dreams and intuition, storms into Aries at the end of the month and we have an intense barrage of activity specifically at the degree of 9-10 Aries. I will cover the Solar Eclipse on the Divine Lunation Tier, and that is the keynote of all of these influences converging at this point that becomes crucial to consider as 2025 unfolds and unravels rapidly at this point.

Once Venus hits Station Direct, April may feel like it’s taking awhile to catch up with the changes we encountered all through March, and there may be a strong sense of burnout, especially if events are provocative enough to keep us busy. The major aspect of note this month is the conjunction of Saturn to the North Node in Pisces, and the final Mars/Pluto opposition that wraps up a story that began when Mars and Pluto first stood at odds in the signs of Cancer and Capricorn all the way back on November 3, 2024 and then repeated in the signs of Leo and Aquarius on January 3, 2025. The final culminating aspect sees us having undergone numerous changes in the meantime, and we get to process the Mars Retrograde fallout in hindsight this time.

Saturn will hit Aries like a bomb dropping, especially as it happens during the whirlwind of Gemini, where activity is a flurry and things come to a rapid boiling point. Uranus, planet of change through disruption, will be reaching the very end of Taurus, and this makes May and June feel intensely unstable, there is pressure to finish and come through on promises, but there is little commitment with so much uncertainty still in the air. Be wary of deception and words wielded as hidden weapons during this time.

June is a period of adjustment and finding the “new normal” after the Spring of massive upheaval, and the ingress of Jupiter to Cancer, where Jupiter is in exaltation, is soothing and supportive in the wake of whatever this year imposes upon us. We are still in a critical time of change, but a break in the action allows us to catch our breath as we prepare for Uranus to enter Gemini, where it will be full speed ahead.

Anything can happen and events are highly unpredictable with not only Uranus entering Gemini, but it will sextile Neptune and Saturn as they both Station Retrograde in their long running almost-conjunction that is the underlying pervasive aspect that characterizes the nature of 2025. I will have in depth insight about all of these influence in my daily analysis throughout the year, but we can know now that July is a time where the fast track, uninhibited initiative and boldness of these two planets not only comes to a halt but gets electrified by the entrance of Uranus to Gemini, bringing new ideas and enthusiastic divergence from tradition. There is a major component to this month that I would call “defiance of expectations” and the New Moon at 2 Leo may touch upon final resolutions to any issues that were encountered during the Mars Retrograde, where there was an opposition between Mars Rx and Pluto at 1 Leo/Aquarius on January 3, 2025.

August is the quietest period of 2025…it begins under a pesky Mercury Retrograde in Leo, but that’s the only disruptive event, and it’s all contained within the context of ONE sign, so as far as Mercury Retro periods go, it won’t be AS intense and chaotic as others may be. These are the last Lunations preceding Eclipses again, and this period can be used as a time of reflection and preparing for even more changes yet to come.

Just like Uranus Stationed Direct under a Lunation in January, where there was a New Moon and then Uranus hit exact Station squared by Moon, Uranus in Gemini will Station Retrograde for the first time in this sign UNDER AN ECLIPSE, and after exact time of Station, MOON will SQUARE Uranus! Be prepared for these Eclipses to bring things to extremes. I will cover them at the appropriate time on the Divine Lunation Tier.

This month sees a Mercury Retrograde, Uranus dips back into Taurus again further lessening the pressure of Aries influences, and Jupiter will Station Retrograde in Cancer this month, bringing changes that further compound our need to regain stability and encourage a period of recovery. Mercury Retrograde is particularly intense, moving from Sagittarius back into Scorpio, from blunt truth Mutable Fire to secretive Fixed Water. Saturn will Station Direct in late Pisces, and its time here is limited, after this it’s on and forward back to Aries in early 2026 to stay until 2028.
